Can I get USD account details?
You can get USD account details for your personal or Wise Business account if your address is in a country where you can open a balance, and you created your Wise account after 1 January 2024.
For Wise Business account holders, USD account details are currently only available for businesses registered in The US, the UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

What are some restrictions?

You can’t get USD account details if your address is in:

Bangladesh, Belarus, Burundi
Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo (Republic of), Congo (Democratic Republic of the), Cuba
Eritrea
Guinea-Bissau
Iran, Iraq
Libya
Myanmar
Nevada, North Korea
Pakistan
Russia
Serbia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria
Türkiye
United Arab Emirates, Ukraine
Venezuela
Yemen
Business account restrictions
If your business’s trading address is in an unavailable country above, China or Nigeria — you won’t be able to get account details, even if the business itself is registered in an eligible country. A trading address is the physical location where you usually work every day.
If your business is registered in the US, UK, Australia or Germany you can only get new USD details if you created your Wise account after 1 January 2024.
If your business is registered in France, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, Spain or Brazil you can only get new USD details if you created your Wise account after 7 October 2024.
If your business is registered in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, or Switzerland, you can only get new USD details if you created your Wise account after 1 February, 2025.
If your business is registered in China, *India, Malaysia, or the Philippines you can only get new USD details if you created your Wise account after 12 March 2025.
If your business has an address registered in a region or country where we don’t offer balances or account details, such as Nevada, Sri Lanka, Serbia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Türkiye, or Ukraine — you won’t be able to get account details after 1 October 2024.
We’re working on adding in businesses from more countries and removing the restriction for when you create your account.

Canadian driver’s licence
We can’t verify you with a Canadian driver’s licence at this time. We’ll need to verify you with a passport or national ID instead.
When can I get USD account details?
You can join our waitlist when trying to sign up for USD account details. We’ll let you know as soon as USD account details are available in your region.
You can still receive USD by international Swift payment to your GBP account details.
Why am I being asked for more verification details?
We know you provide information to us when you join Wise, but sometimes we need to ask for up-to-date info about your identity.
We may ask for this to comply with our regulatory requirements. If you receive an email from us about this, just follow the instructions to continue using your Wise account as normal.
